What better way is there to find new customers and extend your branding than word of mouth recommendations?

Social Media is has been described as “Word of mouth at the speed of light!”

As people are becoming “immune” to traditional forms of advertising – newpaper ads, Yellow Pages, and even banner advertising and reviews on websites, so they are turning more to pesonal recommendation.

For instance, I recently bought a new computer. Not because the salesman in the shop recommended it, or because it got a good review in the PC magazines. It was because a friend of mine had one and thoroughly recommended it!

The most effective Social Media Marketing techniques include using Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube to spread your message. That said, there are hundreds of other social marketing sites that we regularly use in our marketing strategies, but the “big 4″ mentioned previously are a grteat way to start!
